Tokende is a booking platform for intercity travel in East and Central Africa. Reserve seats on scheduled standard bus services, or join a carpool, share the ride with others, and split the travel cost.

Payments

What you're paying for

Every payment on Tokende is for a trip. Here's what that means:

Bus ticket: the fare set by the bus company for that route
Carpool seat: the price the driver listed before you booked
Service fee: if one applies, you'll see the exact amount before you pay.

Every payment is for a booked trip. You pay when you book to lock in your seat. After that, we pass the fare on to the bus company or driver, based on our agreement with them.
